Henry Strater was an American painter notable for his friendships with Ezra Pound, Ernest Hemingway and James Joyce. Strater was in the Red Cross in World War I and spent time painting in France after the war ended, eventually developing friendships with Pound, Hemingway and Joyce. This is a short exhibition catalog, providing a chronology and brief overview of Strater's life and work. GOOD+ condition, EX-MUSEUM LIBRARY (Strawbery Banke) with a pocket and two spine labels present. Faint library stamp at the upper front cover. Offsetting present to the rear panel. Minor fading.
