Marbled boards with leather binding. Volume one only of this novel, translated into French. Isabella Kelly was a British novelist and poet writing in the late 1700's, early 1800's. In FAIR condition. LACKING page 233/234. Otherwise complete. Moderate scuffing and fading to the boards, with some uneven darkening. Minor soiling. Minor to moderate bumping and scuffing along the extremities. Leather split along the front hinge. A half inch piece is missing from the head of the spine, with minor loss from the foot. Front cover and first free endpaper tenuously attached, with the rear cover weak but solid. Large pastedown conditions of the Avon circulating library present on the inside cover. Apparent pastedown removed from the first free endpaper, with glue remaining. Ownership signature present. Interior binding solid but weakened, with moderate foxing throughout. A few scattered marginalia in pencil present. Fair/No Jacket.
