It began modestly as a digest of London newspapers and periodicals for country customers (an orientation signaled in Cave's editorial pseudonym, Sylvanus Urban), but it went on to prosper and survive until 1922." A fair ex-lib copy, contents about very good, pocket on front pastedown, tape on free front endpaper; detached boards; spine and boards chipped, scuffed, and dry, last few leaves with small tear at fore edge.
