Description: [Washington, D.C.], n.p. 1857. First edition. Removed. 2 pp. 8vo. The second story is approved but of the portico the Treaury Department writes: "I have respectfully to say, that the vestibule and hall of the building are deemed ample for the citizens to receive and deliver their letters in, and that they are larger than those in similar structures recently erected in larger cities, which have proved to be entirely sufficient for their use. I cannot, therefore, recommend that a portico should be added to the building." Not in OCLC. About very good with a chip, dampstain to one corner and a faint one along top edge.
