Edward Colston Marshall (1821-1893), a Democratic congressman from California's 1st district from 1851 to 1853, and who later served as California attorney general from 1883 to 1887, attacks Breckinridge for his undemocratic leanings and his opposition to Douglas. A very good lightly soiled copy with pin holes along the inner margin, light foxing, mail fold.
