Printed by order of the Secretary of the Navy, in compliance with a resolution of the Senate of the United States, of December 13, 1815. Six complete years of the register, some with annotations. 1842 annotated in pencil with a list of new assistant surgeons on the rear blank; 1843 adds "Act to Regulate the Pay;" 1844 and 1845 also includes extensive the tables of pay for each officer; 1846 and 1847 adds more detailed information about the officers and ships. Backstrip lacking, boards detached (with first and last few leaves) with some old repairs to calf, occasional annotations, some browning to edges on a few years, overall a good copy.
