Includes two letters, one on the asserted right of the Central Branch of the Union Pacific to construct their road along the 100th meridian and receive a subsidy and a second letter to the San Francisco and St. Jose Railroad Company rejecting their claim to acceptance of their road. A very good copy with nicks to the corners of the fore edge.
