This literary publication contains essays: The Spirit of the Age, Intellectual Greatness, Military and Literary Glory, Thoughts Suggested in Visiting Bunker Hill Monument, The Influence of Scientific Study and the Acquirement of General Knowledge Contrasted, Bubbles in Light Air floating; one long story: The Excellent Josephine; a few poems; and a few editorial comments. Very scarce. Not in Dartmouth. Not in Harvard. OCLC shows only issues from vol. 3. on at the NYPL. Not in Sabin. Checklist Amer. Imprints 4018-49. Lacking wrappers, foxed throughout, last leaf torn near spine, text still quite readable, a good copy.
