Wear at the extremities, small chip to heel of spine, a few tears to head of spine, owner's signatures, upper 2 inches of rear free endpaper excised, small dampstain to corner of rear endpapers and one blank, some offsetting, last four leaves of first volume darkened with some light staining, one leaf with a small tear, one leaf with a corner chip, both marginal; impressions sharp, leaves clean; overall still a very good solid copy despite the minor flaws.
