At some time, the binding has been rebacked, retaining most of the original spine. Raised bands, elaborate gilt tooling within compartments, gilt ruled lines on boards, full marble edges and endpapers. The spine is rubbed, loss of one band, wear, with some of the original spine loose. Generally a very good clean firm binding. Internally, some light tanning or spotting, heavier in places. Pages in good clean condition. A nice copy, in an attractive period binding. F. Very Good.
