Bound in half calf, calf corners, marble boards, flat gilt bands and gilt title lettering. Binding lightly rubbed, some minor wear. Binding in good clean firm condition. Internally, heavy spotting to title and dedication pages, main body of text clean throughout, plates have light or moderate tanning. Generally pages and plates in very good condition. A good solid copy. This copy has 16 double page maps, I could only find copies with 12 plates. F. Near Very Good.
