Bound in full contemporary red calf, raised bands, ornate gilt tooling on spine and both boards, binding rubbed with some wear loss on edges, top board has been reattached with binding tape, bottom hinge is cracking, but board firmly attached, although their are obvious problems with the binding, nevertheless a stunning piece of craftsmanship. Internally, 3 previous owners bookplate, very occasional spotting/browning, text in very good clean condition throughout, overall a very good clean copy, in very attractive contemporary full calf binding.
