Contemporary half calf, flat spine with title label (chipped), binding rubbed. Old ownership signature. First edition based on Paul Egede's journal. He was a Danish-Norwegian missionary and scholar who at a young age moved to Greenland with his family. His father Hans Poulsen Egede, known as the Apostle of Greenland, started the missionary work in Greenland in 1721.
