Very good. - The lot consists of nine 1949 Daily Event Note Pad Calendars, each measuring 6 inches high by 3-1/4 inches wide bound in color pictorial stapled wrappers with brown cloth tape at the top, each with approximately 15 pages. The months of January, February, April, June-September and December are complete. The month of October is missing the first 6 pages. The lower left corner of January is heavily creased else these daily note pads are in very good unused condition. 7 Ink Blotters, each measuring 3-1/2 inches high by 6-1/8 inches wide. Each blotter has a 2-6/8 inch wide color illustration on the left side and advertising on the right. There are no duplicate images. The blotters have been used but the pictorial rectos are clean and in very good condition. 24 Ink Blotters, each measuring 3-7/8 inches high by 9 inches wide. Each blotter has a 2-6/8 inch wide color illustration by Lawson Wood on the left side and advertising and a monthly calendar on the right. The earliest blotter is 1934. The lower right corner of that blotter is creased. Following is a single 1935 blotter, two 1947 blotters, seven 1948 blotters, eight 1949 blotters, four 1950 blotters and one 1952 blotter. The lower right corner of the 1952 blotter is creased. There is a crease to the upper right corner of a 1948 blotter. All but 5 of these blotters are unused. There is no duplication of the images. Very good. The illustrator Lawson Wood (1878-1957) was born in London and had a successful career as a freelance artist as a young man. As a commercial artist he created humorous advertising illustrations. He was also the illustrator of numerous books. Very good .
