Housed in a 13-3/4 inch high by 9-1/2 inch box, the puzzle is illustrated in red, black & white with Edward Gorey's image for the poster advertising the original production of the play at New York's Martin Beck Theatre. The puzzle is additionally identified as "Dracula No. D136" along the top and bottom edges of the box and further identified as "The Underground Jigsaw Puzzle" along the sides of the box. The box housing the puzzle is still in its original shrinkwrap with the original yellow label affixed to the wrap stating "By Edward Gorey Winner of MYSTERY WRITERS OF AMERICA Special Award for Dracula".
