Very good. - An original pen & ink and zipatone drawing consisting of 4 panels drawn on 6-3/4 inch high by 20 inch wide art board. The strip portrays Peter Berry responding to his golfing friend's query as to whether his wife nags him by explaining that "She doesn't have to.." "I'm completely trained!". Field Enterprises' credits are printed on a strip of paper mounted vertically along the left edge of the first panel. Signed by the cartoonist Carl Grubert at the top right of the first panel and dated "7-30" by him. An editorial notation, "7RE", is penned in blue graphite along the top edge. There is some minor staining to the verso. Very good. The American cartoonist Carl Alfred Grubert, Jr. (1911-1979) drew the comic strip, "The Berrys" from 1942 to 1974. The strip chronicled the lives of the Berry family. In the last ten years of the strip, from at least 1967 on, the strip was often ghosted by Emil Zlatos. Very good .
