Description: New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1931. 1931. - Large octavo, 10-1/2 inches high by 7 inches wide. Bound in full gray limp leather titled and decorated in gilt on the spine. The book is housed in a red slipcase titled on a paper label on its spine. The extremities of the leather covers are lightly scuffed. The edges of the slipcase and it's label are darkened. 870 pages plus colophon, illustrated in black and white by Alexander King. Very good.

"This edition of TOM JONES consists of fifteen hundred copies issued to members of The Limited Editions Club, with the illustrations by Alexander King. The edition was designed by George Macy and made under his supervision, the paper by the Worthy Paper Company Association of Mittineague Massachusetts, the printing by E.L. Hildreth and Company of Brattleboro Vermont, and the binding by George McKibbin and Son of Brooklyn New York." - from the colophon. This is copy number 112, SIGNED BY ALEXANDER KING. Very good .
