The top edge is gilt & the endpapers are marbled. The leather is splitting at the top of the front joint. There is some rubbing to the binding at the extremities with a small tear to the leather at the bottom corner of the front cover. [4] leaves & 232 pages. Illustrated with 10 black-and-white engraved plates after Rejchan. Also with black-and-white head- & tail-pieces & pictorial initials by G. Montaigut. The front & rear blanks are darkened & the original wraps are darkened & lightly foxed. There are stains to a very few text pages.Very good. The text is in French. Good .
