Furniss, Harry. - Betsy Prigg and Mrs. Gamp

Title: Betsy Prigg and Mrs. Gamp". A Superb Color Print Signed by Harry Furniss.
Description: London: The Charles Dickens Library / The Educational Book Company, [circa 1910]. [circa 1910]. - sc An 18 inch high by 13-1/3 inch wide color print by Harry Furniss depicting a scene from Martin Chuzzlewit. Mounted from the top edge onto 20-1/4 inch high by 14-1/4 inch wide stiff tan poster board. The image depicts the old Mrs. Prigg, head held high in disdain, her back turned to Mrs. Gamp who is rising her chair to address her. A teapot and cups sit on the table between them. Signed in ink by Harry Furniss at bottom left of the image with a guarantee slip printed on blue paper by the Educational Book Company certifying that the print has been signed in ink by Harry Furniss. There is rippling to the edges of the print, none of which affects the near fine image and can easily be matted out. Very good .
