Printed for Benjamin Johnson, Jacob Johnson and Robert Johnson, Philadelphia PA,, 1805. 12mo., First Edition thus[?], some mild age-soiling; contemporary full calf, expertly rebacked with old backstrip laid down, boards worn, a good, sound copy. This copy was formerly in the Franklin Library in Camillus [New York State?] as volume No. 65. The library's printed accession sheet (with number and original cost completed in MS) is mounted on front paste-down with a related MS note on facing page. The latter page also bears a large circular blind stamp containing the word 'YALE' and dated 1802. The accession sheet carries the library's lending regulations: 'This book belongs to The Franklin Library, in Camillus, and liable to the following fines: For lending, or exchanging with any person 25 cents; Turning over a leaf with a wet finger 6 cents; Turning down a leaf 6 cents; Every drop of tallow 6 cents'. A NOTABLE, ALBEIT AGE-WORN, COPY OF AN EARLY AMERICAN LIBRARY BOOK COMPLETE WTH ACCESSION DATA. We can find no record of this edition. VERY SCARCE.
