Heyer, Georgette aka Martin, Stella,, THE TRANSFORMATION OF PHILIP JETTAN - A Comedy of Manners.
Heyer, Georgette aka Martin, Stella,
THE TRANSFORMATION OF PHILIP JETTAN - A Comedy of Manners.
Spire Books, USA 2020, re-issue, 166pp, coloured pictorial paper covered upper board, a re-issue in the original title of Georgette Heyer's third book, first published by Mills & Boon in 1923 under the pseudonym Stella Martin, later edited and re-published by Heinemann under her own name as 'Powder and Patch'. For those who like to collect her books in their original titles this will fill a gap but it is the product of somewhat slapdash proof reading with a rather odd disclaimer about the book 'Sard Harker' (a novel by John Masefield), which must be left over from another project by the publisher, it contains the additional final chapter that was later omitted from 'Powder and Patch', no dustwrapper issued, fine,
