S. l. s. n. 1940. First Edition. Oblong broadside, n. d. (ca 1940s); 10 x 22; beige stock, printed and illustrated in black; vertical fold line through middle; several closed cuts to edges, not affecting figurines; good to very good condition. An interesting pastime opportunity, the broadside featured three large figurines - "Chief Eagle Rock," "Miss Los Angeles," and "Miss Hollywood" - to be cut and glued in a way that allowed them to stand up and alone, when completed. Complete instructions were provided, including the admonition: "Cut these figures very carefully. Use GLUE, not mucilage nor paste of any kind. Good .

A sweet pamphlet, published by the manufacturers of the famous Eff an Bee Dolls, it was distributed with each Dy-Dee Baby and contained a personal message to the lucky-to-own-it child and to the parent, as well as instructions on how to care for the "almost human" doll, including feeding, diapering, bathing, and so on. Very good .

(ca 1960); 5 x 3 1/4; pp. [20]; red, pictorial wraps; illustrated with photographs; small rust spots around staples, else very minor wear; very good to near fine condition. An advertisement and a trade catalog, it was published by one of the big manufacturers of dolls and corresponding accessories in the mid-20th century - Cosmopolitan Doll & Toy Corporation in New York. The booklet featured a splendid array of models of Ginger, "The Darling of the Doll World" and various outfits - the first 8-inch walking doll with moving eyes, plastic or vinyl head, and rooted hair that could be wet, combed, and curled. Some of them included Frontier Girl, Space Girl, Blue Fairy, etc. Very good .

S. l. (Brooklyn), Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. 1928. First edition; 6 x 3 1/2; single leaf, folded, pp. [4]; lithographed illustrations; a few minor nicks to edges; light creasing; in very good condition. A pretty, little brochure, it advertised several of the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company's newest dolls and gave the various reasons as to why those dolls with rubber arms were marvelous. The business was founded in 1903 by Morris and Rose Michtom with their invention of the Teddy Bear and by the 1950s - they would become the biggest doll-making company in the US. Very good .
