Poorly reproduced black and white photos throughout. A fanzine created to offer an alternative to mainstream music magazines, relying on spontaneity, often reflected in production quality. Adrian Thrills would later become a professional music journalist (see Triggs, p. 59 for previous information). With very short pieces on The Boys, The Rezillos, The Wailers and a lengthy interview with former Sex Pistols producer Dave Goodman. Last page a pin up photo of the Buzzcocks. Extra page of a Boys album review included, not original to the piece, and most likely a copy of a copy. GOOD condition. Minor toning along the extremities. Diagonal center crease present. Light rusting to the staple. Good .

Later issue of this influential Manchester zine, known for its social commentary on punk, music, the left, the right, etc. As Wilkinson notes, "City Fun's witty hostility towards identitarian fragmentation was not confined to gender and sexuality" (Wilkinson, p. 102.) Nothing was sacred in its takes on the peripheral (or not so peripheral) social and political issues affecting punks, etc. This issue with a look at the city of Berlin, a poor review of New Order, etc. GOOD condition. Minor wrinkling, creasing and edgewear. Upper corner a bit curled. Minor toning. Some stains to the rear cover, with a few small spots to the front cover. Good .

Billed as Chicago's only punk/pop newsletter, Image was produced by Ric Menck, presumably the drummer/musician who has played in many bands since the 1970s.
