Poorly reproduced black and white photos throughout. A fanzine created to offer an alternative to mainstream music magazines, relying on spontaneity, often reflected in production quality. Adrian Thrills would later become a professional music journalist (see Triggs, p. 59 for previous information). With very short pieces on The Boys, The Rezillos, The Wailers and a lengthy interview with former Sex Pistols producer Dave Goodman. Last page a pin up photo of the Buzzcocks. Extra page of a Boys album review included, not original to the piece, and most likely a copy of a copy. GOOD condition. Minor toning along the extremities. Diagonal center crease present. Light rusting to the staple. Good .

Taking the name of the local paper "Surrey Comet," Roger Allen created a fanzine that embraced a punk aesthetic to skewer punk and pop culture through collage and clip art, as well as short news/reviews of various punk acts. First issue, a visual feast of punk and comics mashed together. GOOD condition. Front cover DETACHED at the staple, with some associated rust stains. Two hole punches along the left edge. Minor fading. Good .

Manchester, UK, City Fun Collective, Publisher, 1981. Wraps. 11 ¾ by 8 ¼ inches. 12 pages, including covers. Later issue of this influential Manchester zine, known for its social commentary on punk, music, the left, the right, etc. As Wilkinson notes, "City Fun's witty hostility towards identitarian fragmentation was not confined to gender and sexuality" (Wilkinson, p. 102.) Nothing was sacred in its takes on the peripheral (or not so peripheral) social and political issues affecting punks, etc. This issue with a look at the city of Berlin, a poor review of New Order, etc. GOOD condition. Minor wrinkling, creasing and edgewear. Upper corner a bit curled. Minor toning. Some stains to the rear cover, with a few small spots to the front cover. Good .

No Place, David Hagerty. Wraps. No place or date, perhaps California, 1979ish. Single stapled zine, 8 ½ by 11 inches. 12 pp. Photomechanically reproduced, resulting in mostly fair to middling quality in printing. If one were to envision a stereotypical punk zine, one that a movie on the LA punk scene of the late 1970s would have as a prop in the background, this is it. Cut and paste images, poor quality printing, ranting and raving, this has it all. The editor acknowledges that no one probably heard of/saw the first issue but still somehow seems offended that there isn't more demand for this second issue. That said, there is no remittance address that we could find, so that might have been the problem to begin with. Mr. Hagerty does not like reggae, likes the Germs album, reviews the Weirdos, Dead Kennedys and others, and seems to have an inferiority complex with Slash, No Mag the New York Rocker. FAIR/GOOD condition. Heavy toning and offsetting along the edges. Some soiling and staining. Staple rusted and tired. Some creasing and curling along the edges. Fair .

As the illegibly written author, editor and artist alludes to, there was "zero" demand for the first issue, thus indicating this labor of love would be quick to end. A lot of stuff crammed into these twelve leaves: The Damned, Alternative TV, Seventeen, Peter Gabriel, etc. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning and edgewear. Very Good .
