Georg Avellis (1864-1916), rhino-laryngologist until his death, known for "Avellis' syndrome", recurrent paralysis of the soft palate, a term which was coined by Marcel Lermoyez (1858-1929). Previously in the Medizinhistorische Bibliothek der Universität Basel with a stamp to this effect on first free endpaper. At one time belonged to Prof. Harald Feldmann, Münster, with a small ticket to that effect on first paste-down. Very rare. K-3 .
