Lots of spotty, brown stains here and there throughout the interior, but again, the text remains readable. The binding is still tight. A copy that is obviously much-handled, but is still an interesting artifact of early movie merchandising. The SCARCE photoplay edition, promoting the popular series of silent films starring Pearl White. Complete with 15 black and white stills from the movies. Fair .

Contains a color still of the two stars at the piano on the front cover and a b/w still on the rear cover. Issued without interior stills. THE MELODY MAN was a pre-code musical issued by Columbia Pictures. It was based on a popular Broadway play. Jacobsen Publishing issued a series of softcover photoplay editions in the 1920s and erly 30s - these fragile items were generally of lesser filoms than the hardcover photoplays issued by larger publishers and also tended to contain fewer illustrations. Today they are quite scarce. Very Good .
