His literary fame is mainly connected with La Calandra - renowned as being the first Italian comedy in prose, this work revolutionized the canons of theatrical writing in the 16th century. - Binding a bit worn on spine-ends and hinges [still firm], the original 'bound with' wrappers a bit browned; name in ink on second blank, else a fine, clean and uncut copy.
