He is considered to have revolutionized Venetian painting, moving it towards a more sensuous and colouristic style. Through the use of clear, slow-drying oil paints, Giovanni created deep, rich tints and detailed shadings. Gli basta dare un'occhiata alle pagine scure e ammuffite per essere trascinato in un mondo antico, fatto di intrighi, duelli, amori e tradimenti. La storia che si snoda davanti ai suoi occhi è ambientata a Londra quasi due secoli addietro e ha per protagonista Jacob Flint, un giovane gentiluomo inglese con la passione per le mogli altrui.
