Publisher's brown card wrappers, front cover with graceful embossed decoration, printed in pastel blue and brown, silk cord. First and only edition of this stylish Art Deco catalogue by the prominent Belgian jeweller. Divided into sections by type of stone: diamond, pearl, sapphire, ruby, and emerald accompanied by photographic illustrations. Each section is prefaced with a symbolic coloured plate by Lawrence Sterne Stevens. He was an American-born artist who lived and worked as an illustrator in Brussels between 1924 and 1937. A refined Art Deco catalogue in perfect condition. Not in Pages d'or de l'édition publicitaire.

Comprises two parts: Introduction text pp. (xvi) printed on beige laid paper titled: "Story of Mabel and her wedding trousseau" with lovely colour Art Deco illustrations + the trade catalogue pp. (22) printed on glossy paper listing the different items (hand-embroidered sets, lingerie, linens, towels, handkerchiefs, corsets, table cloths, etc.) with many b/w illustrations. All the illustrations are made by Eric de Coulon (1888-1956), renowned Swiss poster artist and graphic designer. As issued in original decorated paper boards, printed in black and gold, floral endpapers, also including preliminary and colophon leaves. A beautifully designed trade catalogue advertising the White House's collection of linens and lingerie. The White House was established in 1906 at Bond Street in London and for over a century the company has been supplying the finest linens, porcelain, silver and crystal, exclusive interior accessories, etc. Rare. . The collection comprises six stunning mail-order catalogues issued by BIBA, the trendy London fashion shop in the 1960s. Each catalogue contains 12 pages with duo-tone photo illustrations. Narrow elongated 4to (size: 35.5 x 17.8 cm). Original printed paper wrappers with gilt logo. Three covers are fine, and the other three with some very light wear, one with lightly creased front wrapper. Original mailing envelopes with gilt-stamped logos and a few order forms enclosed. Barbara Hulanicki (Born 1936) is a fashion designer mainly known as the founder of the iconic clothes store BIBA in London. She opened the shop together with her husband Stephen Fitz-Simon in 1964. The store became known for its stylish decadent atmosphere and lavish decor inspired by Art Nouveau and Art Deco. In 1968 and 1969 Hulanicki launched the six smart-looking BIBA mail-order catalogues designed by John McConnell and cleverly photographed by Helmut Newton, Hans Feuer, Donald Silverstein, Sarah Moon and Harri Peccinotti.
