Parkhirst, Douglass, as told to,
I, Scheherazade, memoirs of a Siamese cat.
NY, Bonanza, (1963). (A). VG in G DJ. Only authorized, unabridged, and as yet unbanned version of Scheherazade's spicy memoirs which she pours out to Parkhirst. Born 5 in a litter of 6, "Sherry" recalls wiling away hours listening to her mother's exotic tales about their cat family. Her mother frequently spoke of father's amorous disposition and his unfailing talent for purring the cat's pajamas right off her despite her having been raised in an Episcopalian clergyman's home. Sherry describes her own adventures in a bachelor's aparmtnet, jealous fits over one of her master's female admirers, and her first encounter with a mouse. Many delightful illustrations accompany Sherry's adventures. Parkhirst is a writer and actor and President of the Bedside Network of the Veterans Hospitals' Radio and TV Guild. DJ price clipped, clip to top of front endpaper and chips to bottom edge, plus edge wear.
