Contents include: The Voyage of Sir Francis Drake; The Voyage of William Dampier, the Voyage of Captain Woodes Rogers in the Duke and Captain Stephen Courtney in the Duchess including the account of their finding Alexander Selkirk on the island of Juan Fernandez with his manner of life during a residence of four years at that place and the voyage round the world by George Anson with a brief detail of the disastrous fate of the Spanish squadron under Admiral Pizarro sent out to intercept him.
