JUEL-HANSEN, N.
De Japanneezen: Vertelling voor de Jeugd
Leiden, A.H. Adriani, 1892?. Hardcover. 186 pp. Black & White images. Conditie: Good, No date but presumed first (1892?). Very beautiful cover. Contents with lots of illustrations. A bit of wear to the cover and a little foxing to the contents. A the end of the nineteenth century there was a lot of interest in anything Japanese. Artists were influenced by Japanese art, especially woodblockprinting. The influence can be seen in artists of the Belle Epoque. This book tries to educate young children and learn them about Japan by telling a story about a boy who ventures amongst the Japanese. Zeldzaam boek. .
