In a half-leather binding with raised bands to the spine and stiff marbled boards size 28.5 by 22.5 cm. 164 pages of text and illustrations plus one hundred engraved plates of architectural drawings several of these folding. Originally the property of the artist and illustrator Walter Crane. The front endpaper contains a splendid example of his bookplate with its lines from the Rubiayat and an image of a crane peering into the jug of wine surrounded by decorative borders and lettering. Foxing to some of the text and to the reverse of plates; occasional foxing to plates too. Bookplate Good to VG binding and spine VG (a sympathetic recent restoration); text fair condition thus Good overall. Images available.

On folding linen size 75 by 50 cm. Folds into stiff red cloth covered boards with the title and royal coat of arms gold-stamped to the front. Opens concertina-style into a panorama of the procession as in Charlton's picture, complete with a key to over 150 participants. The key lists them in categories that include the various escorts (the Life Guards, Colonial infantry, Indian cavalry etc.); the Queen and family with other European royals; members of the royal household and Great Officers of State; ministers; representatives of the clergy and the law etc. A veritable who was who of Britain, the Empire and Europe. Some rubbing to spine and original ties snapped but overall Good to VG condition. Images available. Very Good.

The first map is a folding linear one of the railway route from Birmingham to Blisworth size 73 by 30 cm in 16 sections (actually starting from Staffordshire and including 3 other lines that met in Birmingham); the second another linear map showing the rest of the railway to London again 73 by 30 cm. in 16 sections. Both are on a scale of 2 miles to the inch. Hand-coloured. To the reverse of the second linear section is a third smaller map Shewing the Branch Traffic for Passengers and Parcels connected with the London and Birmingham Railway." The first sectional map has fare tables distances and a detailed timetable to the reverse along with carriage rates parcel rates etc. The maps fold into stiff leather boards with the crest of the railway company to the front. One archival standard clear tape repair to the reverse of one of the maps and a later replacement cloth spine. Good to VG condition. Images available.".
