Apparently intended as an annual publication this was the only published work in the series, produced by Lever's of Manchester, with their catalogue of industrial equipment to the rear printed on pink paper. Includes tables of Railway Acts, Railway Officials Directory, fossils and classification of rocks, descriptions of the various mining districts in Great Britain, ventilation, accidents and metal prices from 1782-1859 Errata slip bound-in. Engraved title page showing a scene of industry with workers, horse-drawn wagons of coal and belching chimneys; 8 geological plates plus line drawings and tables in text. Bound in original blind embossed plum cloth with gilt decoration ion front baord. Gilt titling to spine. Original endpapers. Boards are evenly faed with faint background foxing; spine more faded. Book tight and clean without foxing; Blind owners stamp (Ex-Libris K.S.Lycett on both endpapers and handwritten No.12 on rear endpaper. On verso of rear endpaper is a handwritten doscourse by the owner (Lycett) offering some family histiory, mentioning Cannock Closr Coalfield fossils and refernce to a miner infrom the Evergreen Collection of metal figurines. Soft Cover. 40p beautifully got up record of the Model T Ford's re-ascent of Ben Nevis in 2011 when a Model T was driven a good distance up the Ben and another Model T was carried to the summit in bits and reconstructed there. It was later on display in The West Highland Museum Fort William and led to the construction of The Bronze Ford - a unique full size sculpture of a Model T Ford in Bronze cast at Powderlall Bronze foundry in Edinburgh.
