Gand ( Gent ) , P.F.Goesin-Verhaeghe, 1823, in-8°, 20,5 x 12 cm, line engraved frontispiece, 214 pp + 86 plates h.t. in line-engravings (1 lithograph),numbered 1-94, index, bound in contemporary red roan , nice gilt decoration on both covers and the spine. Lower corners slightly bumped. some slight foxing throughout but still a fine copy. Important review of the Ghendt Salon by the secretary of the Ghendt Art Academy. This Salon was the largest of its kind in the Netherlands (Ghendt belonged to this country from 1815 till 1830) and was of course inspired by the Paris Salon.[ we have listed more publications on the Gent ( Ghendt ) Salon.
