Original card covers, general signs of use, some wear to spines, some foxing and marks from rusting staples. Still a very sound, useable set. 5 parts have inscriptions from the author and some have the bookplate of Edward Law of Lindley. Very scarce as a set.

Volume 1 has a presentation inscription to John Jackson and the Supplement has a bookplate indicating that they are from the library of John Jackson and presented to Warrington Museum Library. Sedgwick's dates of birth and death in pencil on Supplement title page. Good, clean copies.
