Gilt lettering to spine. Frontispiece. Slightly started at pgs. 128 - 129. Nameplate to FF EP has been removed, slight piece remaining. In FRENCH. 7th novel by noted and celebrated French author. Bazin became professor of law at the Catholic University in Angers. A frequent contributor to Parisian journals, he often wrote of travel and provincial life. His work Une Tache D'encre (A Spot of Ink or the Ink Stain) cemented his reputation as a novelist and earned him an award from the L'Academie Francaise, which he attended in 1904.
