The true story of a 14 year old girl on a tobacco farm in South Carolina, whose father is lying sprawled out on his bed, naked but for his shorts, this time he is not sleeping off a drunken stupor, he is dead and there is a pool of blood forming. As the girl stares at him she remembers her mother's cries as he beat her and how he laughed as he played his favourite game of throwing knives at them. As the girl grows up she is haunted by an undefinable fear, terror and obsession and her condition worsens after she marries, repeatedly attempting suicide and develops severe psychological disorders, manifesting in multiple personalities. After two years of intensive hypnosis therapy to integrate her other selves and to unveil the horrors of the day her father was murdered there is much debate over the issue of false versus fake recovered memories. B2E. Very Good/Very Good.
