The covers are heavily rubbed and stained with wear to the edges and corners. The head and tail of the faded spine are chipped and the cloth is splitting along the front joint. x & 204 deckle-edged pages, illustrated with a color frontispiece, 62 full-page color plates, plus textual illustrations and vignettes by Augustine Fitzgerald. The overlapping edges of the pages are darkened and slightly creased. There is some soiling throughout and the plate opposite page 140 is loose with some staining to the margin of the plate as well as to the next couple of pages. The top corners of 10 pages are creased, including the top corner of the plate opposite page 120 and there is a crease to the half-title. A previous owner's name is penned on the front endpaper. A complete copy. Fair .
