Het nieuwe diergaarde boek, een sprong van 60 jaren
[Rotterdam, Nijgh & v. Ditmar, 1941], 27x20 cm, printed paper binding in a plastic ring binder, 79 pp. There is some damage to the plastic binder, but it still holds all the pages in place, clean copy, designed by Jan Kamman, with photographs by Ylla, Burg, Kamman, Spies, Muysson, Hymans, Weekblad Panorama, Wolff, v.d. Randen and Polygoon. This book includes an off print from "Eigen Haard" (1879) entitled: "Het nieuwe sociëteitsgebouw in de Diergaarde te Rotterdam", by J. Craandijk. After this text, the book is filled with photographs in black and white depicting the new zoo and all sorts of animals. This book was published during the Second World War (WOII) and was given a K-number (present on the back of page 79). This number indicating the proper procedure for acquiring the paper was followed, and that this publication was granted the paper needed. l "Het nieuwe diergaardeboek toont u een aantal prenten van den ouden Rotterdamschen dierentuin en enkele grepen uit hetgeen de nieuwe diergaarde "Blij-dorp" (Blijdorp) aan stadgenoot en vreemdeling zal bieden."
