TOLSTOI, COUNT LEO
The Two Pilgrims and If You Neglect the Fire You Don't Put It out
London, Walter Scott. 1895, First Thus. Cloth, 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Ill.: Millar, H.R. Gilt titles with gilt vignette of man praying on green cloth boards which are clean with some minor marks and with just a touch of light wear to head of spine and top corner tips. All edges gilt. Internally there is a small neat contemporary inscription and date of Christmas 1895 to front endpaper, sporadic light foxing to many pages else a clean and tight copy. Not dated but the British Library attributes this edition as circa 1903 but the inscription of 1895 contradicts this. A very attractive edition of the work. 11. Very Good AEG/No Jacket.
