Haarlem, Naamlooze vennootschap Haarlemsche Melkinrichting "De Sierkan", [after April 1914], oblong, 12x17.5 cm, single signature stapled booklet, 20 pp., excellent condition, richly illustrated with full page photographs in black and white showing different stages in the production and transport of dairy products, Lit.: N. Sickenga, '60 jaar Sierkan Haarlem. In wisselend getij. 5 april 1902 5 april 1962', Den Haag 1962.l Dairy factory "De Sierkan" was founded in 1902 in Haarlem. After several changes and cooperations the factory closed in 1971. The staff members changed jobs to work in cooperative dairy workplaces that eventually became part of Campina Melkunie. This booklet is a published advertissement addressing women, to inform them of the growth and workflow of "De Sierkan". This copy is signed on the front cover: J.M. Vercruijsse. This could be Johannes Marinus Vercruijsse Jr. (1900 Utrecht - 1958 Haarlem) who was a teacher in Haarlem. It would be interesting to see that this booklet addressing women is signed by a man.
