The contribution in this issue is signed with the initials T.A.C.P. "De Opmerker" (1-312) was published weekly between 26 October 1772 and 12 October 1778. It seems to be a continuation of the periodical "De Onderzoeker" (1768-1772) and there may be a connection to Johannes Petsch (1720-1795) as editor of both periodicals.

First newspaper published in Haarlem in the new "kingdom" since the prince of Orange, who would become King William I, arrived a few days earlier in the country. This newspaper reports that measures are taken to ensure safe passage from the French governement to the new government. This newspaper dates from the days of the birth of the kingdom of the Netherlands.

It was published between 1781 and 1784 in 12 parts.
