De wonderlijke geschiedenis van Tripje (deel 1 (?)

¶ In 1923 verscheen zijn populairste en beroemdste strip in het Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad, genaamd "De wonderlijke geschiedenis van Tripje", met in de hoofdrol de figuren 'Tripje' en 'Liezebertha'. Deze twee figuurtjes werden binnen korte tijd zo populair, dat er in 1925 zelfs een stripboek van deze strip werd uitgegeven, iets ongewoons in die tijd. Henk Backer wordt gezien als de eerste Nederlandse stripauteur die van striptekenen zijn beroep maakte en er zijn brood mee verdiende. Ook was hij de eerste in Nederland die strips tekende voor een dag -of nieuwsblad. ZEER ZELDZAAM. Slechts één exemplaar bekend, nl. in de collectie van Historisch Museum Deventer.
