Not dated, but writing on inside front cover is dated 1926. Two inscriptions on front pastedown: The first reads: "Friday December 17 - 1926. Ernest Briggs" The second reads: "Presented to Raymond Briggs from Uncle Ernest August 2nd 1942". It is unclear if the Raymond Briggs referred to in the dedication is the famous children's illustrator or not. A dedication on inside front cover reads "presented to Raymond Briggs from uncle Ernest August 2nd 1942." Slight wear to edges of covers. Spine strip a little faded. Very Good.

Overall condition is close to 'Very Good'. Edges and corners of covers are worn and and bumped, but not badly. Covers have darkened with age. Inner hinges are split, but binding is still tight. Slight discolouration on the front endpaper. Contents are otherwise clean and unmarked. Good.
