"Statement for the purchase of one hundredth part of the MANOR OF LEEDS of James M. Marshall by John Ambler/ Sept 21st 1799 Amount of Purchase £5000/ did net as follows cash paid J.M.M. that day £1500" Nineteen lines follow with payments from 1796 to 1806. Ambler bought 10,000 acres of the Manor Leeds. The Manor of Leeds consisted of 119,927 acres between Hedgeman River .on the lower side of the Shenandoah River. including the Blue Ridge. Four horizontal folds, slits at center fold, slit top of vertical fold, several pinholes at corners, age toning.SKY MEADOWS STATE PARK is now part of what was the Manor of Leeds. Good.
