In Ukrainian, English, and German. The Ukrainian Technical and Husbandry Institute was established in 1932 as a polytechnical institute and a correspondence school of the Ukrainian Husbandry Academy in, then, Czechoslovakia. Fleeing the advancing Soviet Army in 1945, the faculty of the institute were granted permission by the US forces to continue their work at a DP camp in Regensburg. The current book contained lectures and notes on math, chemistry, history, etc. Very good .

Teodor Kurpita was a poet, novelist, satirist, playwright, and journalist. He emigrated to Germany in 1945 and spent time at several DP camps, where he founded the publishing house "Akademiia" and was Editor-in-chief of the scientific magazine "Ridne slovo." After WWII, Kurpita settled permanently in Chicago, where he became Editor-in-chief of the emigre journal "Ukrainske zhittia" and wrote numerous novels and poetry collections. His current work was published during his time at a DP camp in Munich and focused on Virgin Mary, revered among Ukrainians, and her representation in art, literature, and music. Very good .

Although, not much is known about the author, writing under the pseudonym Hoopoe (bird) in a DP camp in Germany, the little book offered practical and somewhat-amusing suggestions for civilized behaviour, including "Do not keep your hands in your pockets," "Never eat fish with a knife," "Do not spit and smack your mouth," and "Never shrug your shoulders at a woman. Very good .

Andrew Kist - a prominent Ukrainian-American priest and pastor at St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Minneapolis and St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in St. Paul); overall in very good condition. Sofiia Parfanovych (1898 - 1968) was a Ukrainian author, educator, gynecologist, public figure, the first female student of the medical faculty of the University of Lviv, and member of the Vidrodzhennia Temperance Society of Ukraine. She wrote numerous works on hygiene, nutrition, temperance, and pediatrics, as well as several collections of fictional short stories and novels. She left Ukraine with her family in 1944, emigrating first to Austria, then Germany, and finally to the US in 1949. She practiced gynecology, until a progressive eye disease forced her to retire and focus solely on writing. Her current book on first aid and emergency medical care was published at a DP (displaced persons) camp in Germany. Very good .
