The Penrose Annuals are the 'quintessential record for the development of mass media, advertising, photography, design and typography throughout the 20th century'.

The World of Werner Bischof: A Photographer's Odyssey
New York, Dutton 1959 84pp, 79 colour and bw plates. 29x23, green cloth with glt decoration, illustrated dw. Very good in slightly rubbed and chipped wrapper. Part biography, part celebration of the work of the great Swiss photographer and member of Magnum, who had been killed in a road accident five years before. Lovely item.
