Georgene Faulkner (1873-1958) was an American writer of Children's literature and storyteller of the early twentieth century. In her career, she was known and promoted as "the Story Lady." A native Chicagoan, she attended the School of Education of the University of Chicago, then at the forefront of educational reform. The illustrator, Frederick Richardson (1862 – 1937), who frequently illustrated books by Ms. Faulkner, was an American illustrator of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, best remembered for his illustrations of works by L. Frank Baum. Former owner's name and date (1937) on ffep, some childish scribbling on cover, otherwise unmarked, covers lightly soiled, else fine; tight, square, and clean. VERY GOOD.
