Text is Fine with firm binding, no wear, no owner's marks, no stains. The dust jacket is not price-clipped (no price on Canadian jackets), very bright and fresh overall, lightly edge-worn. There is modest soiling to the rear white panel of the dust jacket and several short closed tears, slight loss to tips, and a 1/4" X 1/8 chip to the top-left corner of the front panel. Inscription is dated 1941. 192 pp. color frontis, 78 b&w illustrations, some full-page, quarto format (about 17cm X 21cm) in color pictorial covers, matching dust jacket showing Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The book is in excellent condition for its age with the printed pages in Fine condition, covers only slightly worn at the tips, inner hinges holding well but somewhat cracked. The dust jacket is 99% complete with slight loss to tips and the back panel. No tears over 1.5cm. The book is inscribed by Lt. Com. D. W. Child RNVR (see p. 42 of The Intelligence Game by James Rusbrdiger for information on his WWII career) to a Canadian thus "Rheinsberg 1941, To Ted, With best wishes for your birthday and hope that the next one will be spent in better surroundings. Lieut Com D. H. Child RNVR and Arthur B. Winterbottom". The inscribee was a prisoner in Germany for several years during WWII. Some interesting material laid in: a Christmas 1941 restaurant menu on a silk bookmark. Also, a small guidebook to the surrounding area in Germany (Rheinsberg). Shipped in a removable clear archival dust jacket protector. Very Good/Dust Jacket Included.
