Good condition overall. The edges are heavily worn, with the corners rubbed through and the edges of the spine cloth splitting. There are two horizontal slits in the spine as well. Several scratch marks on the back cover. The hinges, once cracked, have been repaired with archival tape; the binding is still a bit shaky, but holds well enough for reading purposes. The text is unmarked. A worn but readable copy. A scarce book on the sites and culture of 19th-century British India, illustrated with lots of beautiful black and white engravings. Measures approx. 11.25" x 8. Good .
